wrapping up

I'm at Cynthia and Glen's house now for a couple weeks. I've got nearly everything in the storage unit except some large furniture and a few boxes of things that would be damaged by the heat and/or cold. Starting to do the "lasts" this week. Last day of work, last HUT- for real this time, last time at Cloverdale, last Wednesdays with Twenties... I'm trying not to think about it too much yet. I don't want to cry yet! This is a safe place I'm leaving. There are precious people here who love me and encourage me and have been such a blessing in my life. It is going to be hard to leave this life I've built for myself and start from scratch, again.
Speaking of blessings, I checked with Delta, and it seems to be at least $500 cheaper to fly in to Rio instead of Sao Paulo, and I can catch a Brasilian airline (TAM) to Campo Grande from the same airport for, well, I'm going to plan on about $350 because of extra baggage cost. I had considered taking a bus to CG, but I think another flight would be simpler. And faster. Another blessing is that my Twenties group is going to collect a little money for me at my going away party to help with travel expenses. :-)

  1. Angela, this is wonderful news about flying into Rio and about your Twenties group collection! I hadn't heard.
Also, the CG people said it's much better to fly to CG than take a bus. The bus stops way too much and it wouldn't be as safe at this point for you until you speak the language.
    Love you, Mom
